Star Awards - Studio 54
As caterers, we are always behind the scenes at events-however, early April we had the opportunity to join in the fun!
International Special Events Society, Minneapolis St. Paul Chapter, put on a party to remember this year! Studio 54 was the theme of the Star Awards, and boy was it a blast! As Courtney was on the planning committee, she could not pass up the opportunity to represent Fork and Flair (formally Premier Catering and Event Planning), and sponsor the event. To keep with the theme, we put out a fondue display with Classic Swiss, Sharp Cheddar and Pilsner and of course CHOCOLATE! With so many different dipping options to choose from, we filled the table with endless choices including veggies, breads, homemade peanut butter cookies and who can resist a chocolate covered potato chip!
The event included a happy hour where guests drank signature cocktails, enjoyed Studio 54 themed hors d’oevures, and explored the different lounge areas open at that time. As they opened up the main room at the Metropolitan Ballroom, you were definitely taken back to 1977. There was glitter, glam, and so much more! As the awards ceremony proceeded the guests enjoyed more themed appetizers put out by our fellow caterers and wow, was the presentation amazing!
As the awards finished up, they opened up the whole room for late night fondue, a giant ice display with seafood, and desserts. Entertained by professional disco dancers and Go Go girls, they finished the night off with a spectacular 12 piece band that performed songs of the time.
